Lazy run...I mean walk...ugh

Ok so W1D2 didn't go so well. I don't know what it was...but I just couldnt get my mind or body into the run. I did my first 60 second run and 90 second walk cycle and thats about it...i walked a lot more than I ran but I forced myself to run at least 100 steps rather than just take the easy way out and walk the rest of the way.

I did the run solo with no dog this time and I dont know if that threw me off. It was nice to have someone/something to run with on Sunday and Tuesday. I also have been tired all day today too (hubby was sick...hope I'm not catching it).

Gosh I am so damn frustrated though...I dont think of myself as a lazy person but i mean...you'd think I would be able to run for 60 seconds at a time and I was struggling today with 30-45 seconds. I think I am going to have to do SOMETHING tomorrow to make up for this.

Anyhow, the specs from Endomondo:
- 1.41 miles
- 22:48
- avg. pace : 16:08 (but thats a lie...I was hovering around 20 f0r most of my walks except for the last little push halfway around my loop.

dear lord my first mile race is in two weeks....this isnt looking good folks.

I NEED MOTIVATION!!!!!

  1. You're doing great! Try slowing your running pace just a little bit and speeding up your walking pace just a little. Don't be afraid to repeat weeks as you feel is necessary. Trust the plan and keep at it. It does get easier.

  2. You are indeed doing great!! Having a plan will help you. I wish I had used one.. You can judge how you are feeling and your progress on the plan. It will be great when you look back and are easily running 2-3 minutes when right now running just 1 seems hard.

As for motivation, Ive found simly reading other running blogs to help.. the runners world forums help.. daily mile... twitter... all sorts of social media is inspiration/motivation to me. I see others talking about their workout and I get that guilt when I havent yet done mine. It really pushes me to keep going sometimes when Id like to just quit.
